The KOXX, our dance punk, smoking, drinking, and sexing Artist of the Week is evidence of a diversifying musical climate in Seoul…but they’re actually awesome by any measure. The KOXX were neck and neck this week with Tokyo’s Adderall pop group Trippple Nippples,but in the end, the Korean fivesome’s penchant for high-energy, Franz Ferdinand-y mod punk took the crown. Their vintage rock ‘n roll image — and their satisfying debut album Access OK — is hitting the spot for the edgiest (mostly lady) fans in Korea and beyond.
