K-pop girl group 4minute and rock band, The KOXX, have come together to in an oddly fascinating combination.
The KOXX is one of Korea′s hottest rock bands, and have consistently been featured in some of Japan and Korea′s most famous rock festivals.
Ahead of the April 9 release of 4Minute’s new album, Volume Up, the two groups came together to collaborate on the song Dream Racer. Carrying a positive and ambitious message the song with its impressive beats and strong synthesizers are said to have come together to create a unique track.
Despite the busy schedules of both groups, they came together to exchange ideas and to decide on the track’s concept and message. The result was the completion of a track in a new genre, separate from the dance tracks 4minute was widely known for.
The mesh-up of a girl group and an indie band is already attracting attention for its unique collaboration.
Volume Up will be jointly-produced by Shinsadong Tiger and Rado and will include a wide variety of genres including hip hop, electronic, dance and more. The album will also feature Kim Do Hyun and Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo in addtion to The KOXX.
